Hi, This is my first time using this Forum. I have inherited my Father's guns:

S&W .22 Long Rifle CTG - K274979
S&W .357 Magnum-Nickel (Where can I find the serial #?)
S&W .357 Highway Patrolman CTG It is all black and says "Monogrip Hogue"

Can anyone please tell me what the market value is for these? They all seem to be in perfect condition. Thank you!

Welcome to the neighborhood!

You may need to take the grips off to see the serial number. Sometimes it's on the bottom of the grip frame.

Dines, please go to any of the S&W model specific sections of this form and look for the sticky "How to Identify My Gun" or words to that effect. There are many experts here, but they will need to know more about your revolvers to give you a value. If you have the original boxes with included accessories and paperwork, value is increased.

Serial numbers for S&W revolvers of the era represented by your dad's guns are found on the bottom of the grip frame. If the revolvers have grips that cover the bottom of the frame, you'll need to remove the grips to find the number.

Also, original grips are important to the value of the revolver. For example, the Highway Patrolman probably has Hogue aftermarket grips. It would be worth more with period correct wooden grips, or stocks as S&W calls them.

Clear and detailed pictures will also help with folks here to assess the value of your firearms.

I'm guessing your Smiths fall in the 1961 to 1980 time frame, so post your questions, pictures, and description in that section of the forum rather than here, which is primarily for the introduction of new members.

Welcome to the forum. Your K22 is a 1956 product. Need a photo to give you a value estimate.

Someone will come along either here or when you post in the proper forum for your firearm.

You'll be an expert in no time.
