Not sure yet....

Only test fired for function off the porch before detail strippin her and shippin it for plating.

Should shoot good, no play in the slide or barrel when in battery.

Tried some light wadcutter loads from it this weekend, about 900fps. Slide runs a little slow, brass falls at my feet. Thinkin a bump to 1000fps+ is in order. Funny thing is the slide moves the gun more then the recoil.

OK Shovel,
Knock off the gun-porn talk!
(That's the neatest feel on one isn't it? It's like everything happening in slow motion! You almost think you could stand next to it with an instructors pointer, and show the class each phase?)
OK, done talkin' dirty now...

That's a beauty and you put it together to suit yourself. I did the same with a 9MM. What power spring are you using? I started with an eighteen and a half pound spring but dropped to a sixteen pound so my reloads would function better. I would like to do another build myself. A man can learn a lot by trying different things with the gun. Bruce

I'm down to a 8lb, it would'nt cycle with a 10. Standard spring for a .38sup is 14lb IIRC. I don't know about a 9mm, but .45 is 16lb.

I've seen data suggesting 1200fps+ from a 115LSWC, so its no wonder 900fps needs such a spring drop.

Its darn near the same as a wadcutter 1911, I imagine a 52 is a bout the same, have'nt got to shoot one of those yet. But yeah its cool, takes a little gettin used to the gun bringin the front sight back down for ya when that slide slips front.
