This gun I have only shot 8 shots out of it, I hate the thought of sending another one of my guns back to the factory. I have noticed when pushing ejector rod, casings go out, then when the ejector plate or star returns to the cylinder, sometimes it fails to seat flush back down on the cylinder. I have noticed if I let the ejector rod fly back under its own force it will seat. My other revolvers seat no matter how fast you return ejector to the cylinder. I will try and show a closeup when I get home tonight. Any ideals?

You have one of the new cool guns. Being a new gun it may have burrs on the ejector star. I would let it break in a little before shipping it. Push and release it as you watch TV and it may cure it self. Larry

When I get a chance, I'm going to carefully look at the area under magnifying glass that I have out in the garage, that was also my first thought a burr in that area some where.

I did do just that already, as I do when cleaning my revolvers, just a tad of oil there. I just don't have time to mess with it for a couple days got few other things deal with around here. I just thought I would run it past you guys, for any ideals I may not have thought of. I have been educated and assisted by the fine people on this forum to many times to count. I appreciate the heck out of every one of you. Sometimes you just need a couple of extra heads on a problem....

With the ejector rod pushed in, put a drop of oil on the shaft section of the extractor that's now exposed.

I've learnrd a lot on this forum. I don't get magazines any more cause I spend some of my free time here. I really enjoy S&W revolvers. Hope you can cure your guns problem cause its no fun sending it back. Larry

I got back from the Ohioans for Concealed Carry shooting event yesterday, this morning I put the 327 PD under the magnifying glass a small burr was the culprit. I used a very fine jewlers file to smooth the edges, all of them while I was at it. The problem is no more. If you don't have a good magnifying glass you should get yourself one, as I don't think I would have spotted it without one, at least not with my eye sight.
