I just acquired a LNIB 5" 63-4 from a friend's estate. He shot it one time - with me - and a cylinderful each. It still had the snap caps I loaned him in the chambers. It was no dirtier than a new one in the local dealer's case. I shot ~100 rounds through it - and cleaned it - inside and out. A drop of oil sparingly used inside and it is smooth - just heavy. The J-frame spring kits available at Brownells, both a Wilson and a Wolff, list reduced power hammer springs. Is this 'enough' to still reliably pop rimfires, or are these hammer springs best left for centerfire J-frames?
Also, is the trigger return spring the same physical size and spring rate as those in a K, L, or N-frame? I have plenty of spares, if that is the case.
Finally, grips. The J-frame Hogues at a local shop have a squared back - but don't appear much larger. Are they an improvement for medium+ hands? The originals, which look the Uncle Mikes Combats once supplied for K-frames, just smaller, are just too short. Anyone try the squared Hogues?
Thanks!

PS Next - maybe a HiViz front sight!
