Hi there

I just got a new 629-6 with a 3" barrel.
If I understand the label on the box correct, then it was sent out June 26 2017 and has the product code 150715.

Of course I checked the Standard Catalog of Smith&Wesson 4th Edition to know a little more about my gun. The only product code 150715 I found is on page 311:
150715 3" Stainless Finish, RR/WO, Textured Wood Round Butt Grips 2010 Lew Horton and TALO

But this would be 7 years before mine was sent from the factory...
And how should I get a Lew Horton / TALO version here in Europe?
Is this information correct? Any help??

I have one with the same product code and I think it shipped in 2015 or 2016. Looks the same as yours, same stocks. I have nothing to indicate Lew Horton or TALO but I suppose it might be TALO as I did get it in Texas. No idea how many of these have been built but I suspect a lot. Your estimate of 2017 for yours seems about right although the 4th edition runs out of three digit alpha codes about that time and mine isn't listed either. Still offered on the S&W website with the same product code.

If I remember correctly Smith & Wesson and Talo Distribution ended their partnership over five years ago. And, S&W still sells the Deluxe SKUs as regular production models.
