New ammo ban on all centerfire ammo...

Remember that Obama pushed for a ban on all centerfire ammo when a state senator in Illinois.
I am surprised they haven't pushed harder for this, or and I hate to give them ideas, get insurance companies to refuse to insure you if you own guns or even have a gun license.

The late Senator Ted Kennedy (D) Mass., attempted to ban .30-30
ammo years ago.

I didn't like him before that, and liked him less afterward.
And, at the time, I didn't even own a .30-30.

Teddy is in a better place, at least for gun owners.

I am surprised they haven't pushed harder for this, or and I hate to give them ideas, get insurance companies to refuse to insure you if you own guns or even have a gun license. When looking to adopt a dog we were told by our insurance company that we couldn't get one of the 13 "bad" breeds or a dog with a scary name or they and every other ins company in Mass would refuse to insure us. We ended up with a Lab mix, I prefer German Shepherds, have never had a small dog before, out other 6 dogs (all gone now) were all over 90 pounds this little guy is only 60 pounds.

In the real World I have to wonder if he even knows what centerfire is. Jus' sayin'. All of U.S. just gotta stay with it until the end (whenever). Live Free or Die. We must persist , no exceptions. What is life without being FREE... (not a question BTW).

Stay focused on the issue in 2A threads.

We don't need to go into general politics, dogs, recipes, or your vacation pics here.

Uncle Ted can't give you a ride home anymore. Hey it worked once.

They can't take our guns but they can get the ammo.

That little speedy tokarev 7.62x25 it's been said it goes through vests.

I don't think it's beating a dead horse....

Ted is gone, and so are a lot of people but there are still plenty of those around that will propose bills to limit gun ownership/use and if you let your guard down, somebody is going to sneak one of these bills through, quick, and it be the devil getting a bill repealed. While fighting that, there will be others and every one, no matter how SEEMINGLY inconsequential, will set a precedent for further restrictions.

For example, I don't need green rifle bullets, but if they can ban them, they will go after something that I DO need. It's better that I fight the green bullet battle now to prevent it from coming down to .38s, .357s, 9mms, 30-06, shotguns.

I've NEVER been so adamantly polarized on an issue in my life, but I can see where gun owners can get pecked to death.

Im from the commonwealth and am all too well aware of Teddy's ugly anti second amendment legacy. It will get progressively worse because of "progressives" such as Hillary and Liawatha Warren - I predict gloomy things if either of these hags are elected or gain more power in the senate.

Sadly however, the worst thing for gun rights are indeed gun owners themselves. How many of you MA residents stood with us at the hearings on Public Safety and Homeland Security during the last rounds of legislative activity on the topic? I was there and I can tell you MOST of you were NOT there!

Gun owners have a voice, we have the power to influence change and to control the situation, but when the statehouse is packed with Moms Demand Action zombies, the legislators WILL listen to them. We got off relatively lucky in the Commonwealth, given that many of the laws didn't pass, but lucky is a relative term when you consider what our neighbors in CT and NY now go through.

Its time for gun owners to as was said in a rally 3 years ago, to come out of the gun closet. Make your position known and fight as hard as humanly possible to affirm your rights. Reject the fudds at your local range - reject the "sportsmen" who have no interest in protecting anything more than their shotguns and be assertive in your rights.

Don't FEAR Hillary and Liawatha Warren, resist them. Don't FEAR the ATF and Obama- CALL THEM OUT! Far too few of you are involved and that's not just a shame, its a dereliction of your duty as Americans living in the vision of our Founding Fathers.

How is it relevant? Well considering that he's brought up a LOT here in MA whenever the topic of guns comes up and how politicians here will invoke his name while passing the latest round of feel good legislation to remain relevant, he's far from dead, my friend.

Sarah and Jim Brady only recently assumed room temperature - just because they're dead doesn't mean their terrible legacies aren't still haunting us like an obsessive ex girlfriend or I don't know, herpes.

Well, Ted Kennedy's been dead and buried for about six years now, so what do his actions "years ago" have to do with what's going on now?

Ted Kennedy. 1976. Thirty-nine years ago. More past history. How is that relevant to any currently proposed or imaginary attempt to ban guns or certain types of ammunition in 2015? Answer: It isn't. For all practical purposes, the Kennedy political dynasty is way over with, and their past actions and/or influence have little or nothing to do with present day attempts to take away our Second Amendment rights. Talk about beating a dead horse...
