New Badger Grips for my 3" M66

Decided to switch the grips on my 3" M66 and bought some Badger Boot Grips. Have Badgers on several other S&W and love them!

They certainly look nice. Do you know what kind of wood that is?

I don't think I've seen boot grips with an angled bottom like those. Most I've seen are flush with the bottom of the grip frame, or, if extended, parallel with the bottom of the grip frame.

They are supposed to be Dymalux Walnut, but they are little dark. I have the same Walnut on a M686 and they are lighter. Have their boot grips on the 2.5 M66 in their Dymalux Black. I personally like how the boot grip comes down, and gives them a better feel.
