No official word from Colt themselves or any other media outlets yet as far as I've seen, but someone on a different forum posted a link to this video and I'm certainly enthused!

Very nice, didn’t think they’d go blue again, I’m in!

Could be their DLC coating. A person on the Colt forum had the custom shop produce a couple of them but last word was they weren’t doing any more. I also understand the Night Cobra and Two Tone were DLC coated. I’ve only seen one Night Cobra and one two tone in person and have tried to get a fight cobra but have had no luck unless I’m willing to pay $1700. Sorry, no thanks. Nice. Finish though.

I have 3 of the new Pythons and would consider a DLC finished Python.

You may be right

I am guessing that is a DLC and not carbon steel done in blue. Still, it looks nice and I could be wrong.

Hopefully well know soon. I noticed that hammer appears to be "Blued on sides". If I recall normally blued guns had exposed steel on hammer sides. And any custom shop DLC guns that I have seen appear to have hammers fully covered in DLC. Regardless exiting news...

At the Colt booth in SHOT.
Mission accomplished!

It’s Twue! It’s Twue!

Also checked out the 432UC at Lipsey's booth.

Edit: The spec sheets are accurate; they are actually blued carbon steel.
