I bought some X treme 124gr FP plated bullets. Been using Missouri 125 SWC and been loading with CFE Pistol. Problem is the only data I find is on Hodgdon load site and it is for 124 HB RN. My Hornady, Nosler and Lyman manuals don't have CFE Pistol listed. Think I should go with the starting load for the HB bullets and work up? it goes from 4.9 to 5.5gr. I have no PF I have to make just looking for the tightest groups. Don

I would use the data for the 125 grain bullets. A hollow base bullet usually has more length to to so there is more bearing surface of the bullet.

You can use data for the next higher weigh bullet. In this case they may as well be the same as 1grain does not mean much in bullet weight 124 or 125.

The difference will be you COL that you will need to determine.

I used the data for the 125g LCN which was 4.4 to 5.0g of CFE Pistol.

I ended up liking the 5.0 max load it gave tighter groups and had the best ES SD.

This was 10 shots across my Pro Chrono indoors at 9 feet.

Really the 4.4g loads grouped petty good. Don
