We just returned from our first week long trip in our RV. We drove just over 1,700 miles and hit 9 states (PA,NJ,NY,CT,RI,MA,NH,VT,ME).
We had our first lobster roll here in Chatham, MA
It was a working fishing pier and a favorite place for seals and gulls looking for a free meal.
Another lobster roll from the Lobster Shanty in Salem, MA
We stopped at the Sig Pro Shop and Academy in Epping, NH since it was only 16 miles from the campground we stayed in the previous night. The people working in the Pro Shop were a great group. They went out of their way to show me anything I wanted to see and let me take all the pictures I wanted.
I asked them if they had any old style milled slide P226 extractors. I told him they have been on back order since July. One of the guys went back to the armorers area and got me two extractors, pins, and springs. He put them in a baggie, handed them to me and said "no charge".
We stopped by the US headquarters in Newington, NH. I was able to take a couple of pictures before being told by a couple of nice guards that I wasn't allowed to take pictures of the building because "of the nature of what we do here" I wasn't sure what that was all about, but I wasn't in the mood to get locked up.
Otis on the beach.
This place had the best lobster rolls, scallops, and fried clams in Kennebunkport Maine. Apparently it's where the Bush's get take out when they are in town.
This was a little spot in Trenton Maine. The place was packed so I knew it had to be good and I wasn't disappointed
This guy weighed 3.5lbs
Finally, these pictures are from Bar Harbor. If there is a more beautiful place on this earth, I haven't seen it yet.
These were two eagles. It was hard to get good pictures of them as we were on a boat about 75 yards away from them. In the first picture, one eagle is flying and the other eagles head in at the bottom of the picture.
