Being without a dog has been wearing on me since Abby passed. Met a dog at Petsmart adoption day yesterday, cowering in the back of his crate, whimpered and came to the front when I went to his crate. I got too choked up to function so I left, but couldn't get that dog out of my mind, he needed a home as much as I needed a dog. Tracked down the shelter today and drove out to Ft. Morgan (Soul Dog Rescue) In hope of meeting him again. Took awhile to figure out which dog I was interested in, but when they brought Norman out and he whimpered and recognized me. Went through the process and he's currently asleep on my foot. He came off the Navajo reservation and they'd had him for 4 months (he's 10 months). He was too shy and timid to get snatched up, just waiting for me I guess. At least he's dog socialized, its been awhile since I've had a dog that could interact with other dogs. Toby's hissed and swatted at him a few times' but they've touched noses so that's a good start. Without further ado meet Norman.

Thanking you for sharing. Dogs are just; Grand.
Long story short. I babysit two grand Black
Labs once in a while.

I'm old and never really been around dogs. One
is six y.o. and the other is four y.o. I have
grown up with both since pups.

They are hunting Labs. These two are the
nicest dogs. They are clam, loving, nice
to each other, and they even listen to me.

I even got to go hunting with them and
they are just amazing.

This is how I learned Dogs are GRAND.

Brothers

I was thinking more like Norman the older
brother on "A River Runs Through It".

Colorado has some good fly fishing.
