Hello, newbie from IN here.
Looking at getting an M&P compact and full in the next few days. Trying to decide on caliber at the moment.
Like the .45, but considering .40 or .357 as they seem to be more readily avail. Planning to read up on the forum in the ammo area.

Welcome to the forum from Arkansas. If by 357 you mean 357 Sig then I'd tell that it's a great round but ammo is much harder to find then both 45 ACP and 40 S&W.

Haven't been to Arkansas for a while. The NE corner was beautiful last time I was there.

Yes, considering the .357 SIG for a compact unit. Possibly the .40

Welcome from Tennessee.

Welcome from Texas MikeM_Indy. Great forum, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

+1 on 357 Sig being difficult to find and expensive as all get out.

Thanks for the welcome.

PawnCop, I agree on the 357 Sig. I do like its size in the M&P though. Much nicer size for concealment, although it is thick. The smaller .45 (card to call it a compact) seems a bit too large. It would be nice to have just one ammo type with interchangeable clips.

Still working on final buy decision.

Time to read up on this forum. Forums are a fantastic resource. I've used it extensively for my vehicle. (Charger)
