New to the forum and newly back to S&W revolvers after being away for 33 years.

I used a S&W .357 8 and 3/8" barrel pistol for wildlife protection while working for the Canadian government back in the late 1970's and early 1980's.

Though I hate to say it, that was their gun not mine, and I treated it like it was theirs too. You should have seen that poor gun after a 5 day rafting trip down the Pelly and Nahanni Rivers in the NWT back in 1980.

Last week I was driving through Lakewood WA on the way back from a meeting in Olympia and decided to stop by a small gun store I seen a few time and liked their prices and choices (they are near Fort Lewis and get soldiers in from time to time).

Turns out it was my lucky day and I now find myself the owner of a 1968 vintage model 28-2 n-frame .357. Its got a few dings and the there's a some holster wear, but at $400 the price was right.

I now have 2 S&W classic fire arms, a Sigma 40F (purchased new in 1994) and a not so new Highway Patrolman.
