New grips 686 PC 2.5

Picked up a set of Hogue Bantam grips for my 686 off Amazon. They arrived today and just put them on. Overall pretty happy with them. I have Hogue grips on my 1911 and had them on my AR and have always been happy.

BUT, there is this lingering feeling in the back of my mind that says a revolver just looks better with wood grips. I will play with these for awhile and save up for a set of Ahrends Combat Retro.

The Ahrends may look better but I'll wager the Hogue bantams feel a lot better.

I have those grips on both a 2 1/2" 66-7 and a 3" 65-3. I could not be happier. I also have nice wooden Ahrends and Hogue grips for presentation, but shooting is a different matter entirely.
