New Grips on 19-3

I want to replace the grips on my Model 19-3. Will the grips from the 586 fit or who do you like that makes grips? I like the classic look instead of non traditional look. Thanks

The L frames use the K frame grip, so the 586 grips square butt grips will fit your 19-3.. with a caveat that sometimes some frames are just different enough that the grips do not fit perfectly. There was a period of time when Smith made some very poorly fitting grips.

There is no difference in the frame size from your 19-3 (K frame ) and the 586 (L frame). The grips that came on each should be similar with
the only difference being the 19-3 had a small football shaped relief and the 586 had a larger round shaped speed loader relief on the stocks
( assuming they are both 4" or 6" barrel.) So yes, 586 grips would fit a 19 if both were the same, either square butt or round butt.

There are so many beautiful, functional grips out there. You can pick up some gently used specimens up on ebay. I've probably gotten 10 sets there. Bob
