New guy from Colorado

Howdy neighbor! Retired guy in Pueblo, Colorado (7 years tomorrow!).

First year was a major adjustment for me, always felt like I should be doing something, wondering what I was overlooking.

Things get worse after that. All your family, friends, associates in your various activities seem to think that since you are retired they need to help you out with lists of things that need to be done.

We must be creative in excuse making, otherwise we will never have any time off. I'd be happy to help you with that, but I have already made a commitment to an old friend who really needs my help right now.

Enjoy it! You earned it!

Welcome from Western Tennessee!
I did 43 years in the oilfield, scattered thru New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, the Gulf of Mexico, and a bit in South America & Central Asia. It took the "China virus" and the 4th major down-turn to the industry to finally knock me out of the saddle!
This coming March 30th will mark two years of "retirement" for me. I think I'm finally getting the hang of doing what I Want to Do, not so much what I Have to Do! LOL!
