Bienvenido!

The Model 59 came out in about 1972 and was quite popular here in the United States for years. Basically an adaptation of the earlier Model 39 pistols with the frame increased in width to accept a dual-line magazine. There is some interchangeability in parts between the early Model 59 and the Model 39-2, particularly on the upper assembly (slide group), so it may be possible to substitute the rear sight and some other parts. Gun Parts Corporation (formerly Numrich Arms) has a helpful website with exploded views of every part catalogued by factory codes, and may have some parts in stock.

Several variants of the Model 59 followed over the years (1970s, 80s, 90s) and a variety of sights were featured, including adjustable rear sights, some of which may be interchangeable.
