Glad to be here-this seems like a great forum and I look forward to learning from you and sharing what I have learned.

Recently retired from a great 36 year LEO career and was my department's rangemaster. The study of ballistics is one of my interests and I just plain love guns and shooting. I have always been a strong supporter of the 2nd Amend. and CCW for the law abiding citizen.

I appreciate and shoot several brands of pistols. Just got a brand new M&P9 and I am in total awe of that pistol. I know I will be buying more M&Ps very soon and can easily see them becoming my favorite. Bill

Hey Bill... I too am from PA, thats Lawrenceville, PA. I too am new here, and yes I too just placed an order for a M&P 9mm pro. Wow... Smith and Wesson must be doing real well as far M&P sales. Three of my friends just purchased one. Glock sales must be on the decline. Anyways I should have mine by wednesday, sure cant wait. Already purchaced 500 rds. in anticipation... LOL

Welcome to the forum. I have been hanging around here for a little over a year. Got a 45 M&P, ended up with 2 more. A 9mm and a 40 S&W, both 5 inch Pro models. Also bought a 357 sig barrel for the 40. And my wife still talks to me.

I like to work with ballistics also. I don't know if you could say I study ballistics. I just like the firearms I shoot to behave like the ballistic calculators say they should. The 9mm does. 147 grain bullets at 950 fps hits higher than 124 grain bullets at 1040 fps. My 30-06 sighted in at 2.5" high at 100 yards hits POA at 200 yards. Or half a minute close enough. Play around with a chronograph a bit.
