Hello to y'all, and a happy labor day weekend to everyone.
I have been a pistol lover pretty exclusively (one of them being a M&P45) until recently, when I acquired a S&W 638 bodyguard as a back-up, and more and more find myself with a growing interest in revolvers.
As I have and use a Marlin 1894css chambered in .357, I was looking for a revolver to match up with it, and without doing enough research, purchased a 686-6ss in 3", and only now having spent time with you folks, realize that perhaps I should have spent more effort in understanding what I should have been looking for. Live and learn.....and I look forward to do a lot of learning from you all.
Quick background: Born in Israel, raised in the States, went back to Israel and raised a family, raising horses and cattle for 10 years before a 20 year career in wildlife conservation that took me to Africa for a number of years, as well as India, among other spots.
I still go back to Israel a couple of times a year to visit kids and grandkids and I still do reserve duty with my unit at least once a year.
I'm happy to be here, and look forward to doing a lot of absorbing, and hopefully contributing from time to time as well.
