Picked up a newly made holster for a Colt 1903 pocket pistol. I have several of the cool pocket pistols from the 1920's and thought I might like to carry one on occasion, but I've not been able to find one that I liked.

This one was made by a guy I ran across on Colt.com who makes holsters specifically for these pistols. Made from 8 oz. Wickett and Craig saddle skirting leather, dyed mahogany with half coverage of genuine elephant skin. It was wet molded and boned by hand. It has a 15 degree forward rake and the belt slots cut for a 1.5 inch double thickness gun belt. It also has a body shield to keep the slide from digging into you. It's tight and will require a little break in, but I like it.

Faulkner, would you please post the name of the holster maker or their contact info. I have been wanting to carry my 1903 and like you haven't been satisfied with the generic holsters that supposedly fit.

Sure . . . .

I paid $65 for this one and I'm very impressed with the quality.

While we're here...what loads do you carry for the '03 and do they feed/eject reliable?

No faster than a .32 ACP is I don't know if hollow points would have the opportunity to adequately expand, so I use FMJ's.

I have four model 1903's and they all perform flawlessly.

Great looking holster, nice quality! If you paid 65.00 for that you got a tremendous bargain. Nice job on the stitching. For Oldfed, I have run silvertips and gold dots through my 1903 .380's and they both work well in mine. YMMV.
