New Justified series - Quentin Tarantino may direct

I went through a period one deployment where I read everything Elmore Leonard I could get my hands on.

It took me a while to warm up to Justified, but I did eventually enjoy it quite a bit. I typically like Olyphant's characters, so hopefully this will be worth watching.

For a long time I thought I didn't like Tarantino. Then at some point I realized he had directed Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown, both of which I liked. Then I saw Once Upon a Time In Hollywood, and I thought that was terrific.

(But I am never gonna like Kill Bill. To over the top with the gore for me.)

After getting a new dose of Raylan Givens during The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett (they should have given Cobb Vanth a cowboy hat after he gave up the Mandalorian armor), I'm back to streaming all of Justified 10 years later. It's still great. Tarantino directing Timothy Olyphant? But of course! After all, Raylan and Han Solo both shot first.

Haven't watched much Justified but huge Tarantino fan.

Fascinating life story and if you get a chance watch Dan Rather's Big Interview with him.

Pulp Fiction was always my favorite until I saw Jackie Brown. I believe he also wrote True Romance, which is a good one.

May have to check it out if it is true.

Can't wait to see it. Justified was my favorite show of the last decade. Should be interesting to see what Tarantino will do with Raylan Givens. I suppose we should expect more graphic violence.

Like Tarantino or not one thing you can say about him is that his stuff is different and original. So much of the entertainment these days is just a rehash of the same old stuff.

I like a lot about Tarantino but
for me the bottom line is that
his films are too wordy. Actors
love him because of all the dialog
and face time.

But I prefer a Scorsese or Mann
whose films offer sparse dialog
that seems so much more
realistic to the characters they
create.

If a film must be "wordy" than let
those words come from the Coen
brothers.

Other than Jackie Brown, I personally can't stand anything Tarantino has produced.
Let's hope he doesn't screw up Justified, I found it to be an excellent series, as long as Olyphant stays in it.

:(

Let's see:
1) Justified (old series) & Timothy Olyphant -- I'm a fan.

2) New Justified series -- Hope it's as good as the old.

3) Tarantino as a director or producer -- Some of his stuff is OK. Some of it has been terrible.

4) Tarantino as a person -- Don't care for him at all..kinda despicable IMO.
