Debbie is now home from Fort Collins, CO and has two good knees. However, one is a bit stiff yet.
Surgery was on Thursday and she got sprung yesterday...one day early.
She went a different route this time with way she went under. She chose a general and was not sick in recovery or in as much pain from the spinal. Big difference.
PT starts tomorrow at 10AM, but should not be anything new or unusual. She has continued with the machines two or three days a week since she had the last one done and has kept up her leg strength and muscle tone.
Spent all night sleeping last night. And has been snoozing in her chair since breakfast.
Give her a week or so and she and Iggy can run a foot race through the cow patties and Pasture Poodle burrows.

Don't know about any foot races, but I'll give her a run for the money eatin' Itchy's brisket and beans in a couple of weeks.:D

Ditrina,

You best pray for Thom. Debbie gits two good laigs under her and his free rangin' antics is liable to come to a screechin' halt. She'll have him broke back to harness in no time.;)

Thom,
Thanks for the good news. All of the Fisher families wish Debbie a full and speedy recovery.

First Full PT session today...no slack. Gritted her teeth mumbled something several times and kept at it. went by home health and the lady let me borrow a metal stool not unlike the ones the old Pullman Porters used to put below the passenger car step...just not as heavy. Helps her get into and out of the Suburban with a lot less groaning and mumbling.
Bright sunny day with gale force winds at time...but this is Wyoming.
We really appreciate hearing from our S&W friends and the extended family.
Thanks for all of the well wishes and prayers.

I've got two good friends that have had recent double knee replacements & apparently the procedure & technology continue to improve. As she knows, the PT is the tough part.Prayers for a speedy recovery.

Thom,

Great to hear that Debbie is doing well.

By the way, I'd likely pay admission to see that foot race between Debbie and Iggy!

Neil
