New look for M&P10

I do more reading then posting, the reason I picked up the M&P10 was weight. For a 308/7.62x51 the starting point perked my interest. My POF 20"; I feel will always be my most accurate of rifles, yet at my age I need a 19 year old kid to hump the thing.
So I will call the M&P a work in progress! As the M&P sits now the ERGO (F93) will need to be switched to one of my other rifles, I am thinking the .300 Black-Out. This will remove a good part of the 1.3 Lbs. the F93 added to the M&P. When all is done the M&P should come in someplace between 9 ½ to 9 ¾ Lbs.??
So here we are; get your hands on what would be thought of as a working rifle and the first thing done is "fix something that is not broken"!

SureFire Muzzel brake





The ShureFire muzzle brake and or flash suppressor "quick detach muzzle attachments".
In my case for use with the SureFire, FA762K- BK sound suppressor. (I have spent what some would say is a good deal of money on weapons and attachments to go with them). The sound suppressor has got to be; some of the best money spent!
On my .300 Blackout 220gr load, the only sound heard is the action of the bolt as it cycles, on the 7.62x51 the sound signature is that of a .22 LR, 6.8 SPC about the same.

I have both the muzzle brake ( 3 ) and flash suppressor ( 1 ) they were not purchased to reduce recoil or muzzle flash, but as attachments for my suppressor. At times I will
fire the rifles' without the suppressor. The muzzle brake works as for its original intention, I believe?
In rifles such as the AR type 7.62x51/308 Win. or M14, recoil has never been much of a concern to me.

If you are thinking of putting either on you rifle, but just as a muzzle brake or flash suppressor not used with the sound suppressor, you may be able to find one of somewhat less cost? Also not necessary to be timed! (set with shims). In any case I find them well made and to find a better product for its intended use you are likely to spend more then $150.00.
