Dealer took delivery of one today, and I took it home. Should a nice compliment to my full sized duty gun. Range report to follow.

What was the last issue, if you don't mind me asking?

NHSP used to use Sig P220ST's IIRC. I took the SIG Armorers course with one their guys a while back, and as I remember he asked several questions about internal extractors on newer P220s and rust on parts.

Hopefully SW4566 will correct me if my memory has failed.

car541 is correct. NH State Troopers had the SIG P220ST. The P220ST has been problematic since it was introduced.

I like the looks of the new compact. Makes me wish I'd waited a few months instead of buying a full size M&P45.

Oh, well...

What kind of range report can you give us. I am curious to know how you think it shoots compared to your other M&P. Any info would be nice. Thanks.

Can you post a picture of it's width and one with the magazine displayed?

Is it a single, double or slightly staggered mag? 8 rounds?

Sorry guys, haven't gotten to the range yet (been working doubles) plan on going tommorrow. I don't have a G23 anymore, so it's tough for me to do a comparision, but I'd say the top end is about the same, but the grip fram seems smaller. The mag is an 8 round double. My issue ten rounders fit perfectly. Apparently I missed Julie Goloski at the Troop station the other day. She came up with a delivery of the new mags and they were giving her a tour around. I'll try to post more next week.

Has anyone been to the range with one of these compact 45's. I've been thinking about getting one.

Ok, it has been two weeks since you first teased us with the photos. How does this thing shoot??

I shot one today (only 2 mags) and I loved it. It seemed to have less recoil than the full size dark earth model with ambi safety that I shot it against.

Guys, got the range (very) briefly. Shot the gun out of the box, literally, no cleaning no additional lube. Mixed assortment of CCI and W/W FMJ, no problems at all. My 12 YOA son shot it as well (first time he has fired a handgun). I thought the muzzle flip was a bit more pronounced than the full sized.
