Hey guys, new member here and should have a M&P 9 here shortly. I work for a small brick and mortar in california doing some shipping/receiving as well as sales. The store sells a lot of glocks, xd's, and AR stuff. Theres only one full time sales associate and he has a habit of only selling things he likes(glocks/xd's and 1911's) he hates ruger SR's, as well as the M&P's. I figured I would sign up here and get as much info on the firearm as possible to pass on to him as well as our customers.

Im sure Ill stuble across most of the info needed on them but for the sake of convenience and links/info would be helpful if its something you owners may feel valuable and not regularly discussed. TIA

Welcome lt1ssteve.

You made me laugh when you said elitest and glock in the same post.

I wish i could give you some more enlightening info about your M&P, but i'm a new owner myself. I have a M&P 45C, and love it. The only complaint i had was about the trigger, and that it wasn't very smooth. From what i hear, it gets better after 1000+ rounds. I guess it's not worth the time and money to have work done on it, and i agree.
My other experiences have been with SIG and Beretta. They are good weapons, but the SIG had an extremely long trigger pull which was too hard to get used to. The Beretta was my duty pistol in the Navy, and it was reliable under the conditions but when i wanted to buy something for myself i defaulted to "Made in the USA". Can't go wrong with that.
If you want more info my suggestion is to start a thread in under M&P Pistols. You should get more content there.

As you already know, most of your responses here will be like the previous two...i.e. Welcome from VA (Power posts), it's nice to be welcomed, but it's nicer to have someone answer your question.

However, i'd like to welcome you to one of the best forums on the web, and i'll pass on some guidance i got when i joined.
Learn a lot, and share what you know.

Take him to a major IDPA match and let him watch the M&P in action. They are catching up with Glock numbers, fast.

Welcome from Texas lt1ssteve. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.
