Hey everyone, I haven't been on this forum in forever and I have a M&P15-22 from around 2009. Still running great and I recently changed out the handguard as a project, it went well after I got the locktite-ed flash hider off.

I just picked up a new 15-22 pistol 8" model. Seems nice but how in the heck do you get the flash hider off of this one? There is no where to grip the barrel to torque it off. Does S&W use some sort of jig holding the chamber?

Mine came off easily using an armorers wrench

CZ industries INC. makes a (made in the USA) 4" Barrel Vise Soft Jaw

Pads for Rifles, Pistols, Shafts, Round Stock V2P.

It allows you to mount your round stock horizontal or at a 30 degree angle.

I bought one to remove the flash hider on my Tippmann R4 .
I only had about 2 inches to grab on to so I cut one of the halfs in half.
I was able to mount it on a 30 degree angle and didn't have to take off the hand guard. Left NO marks on the barrel.

They have a Store on Ebay in case your looking.
