Well, not yet, actually. I found a guy selling stripped lower NIB with all the goodies to put it together so I jumped.

I have a custom Mega Arms upper with a BCM 11.5" barrel and a LaRue rail I would like to throw on it in a pistol configuration until I can afford to Form 1 it.

Perhaps, a stripped M&P15 upper will come my way and I can snag that, as well. I'm not sure I would purchase a complete upper. I think those barrels have a 1:9 twist, and I would prefer a 1:7.

Picked up the lower today. Very nice.

From what I can tell, the uppers don't have any rollmarks that identify them as being produced my S&W. Am I wrong?

Both of mine have S&W in white fill in the front notch of the top rail similar to the "T-Marks".

Interesting. Is that the case with all their uppers or just some, I wonder? Are yours standard, sport, or one of the other variants?

I don't know. For my two, one was a stripped 15 Sport upper I bought and used for my .204 Ruger. The other is an older 15T that came with Troy Sights and Handguard.

Called a friend and his newer 15T is "T-Marked" for rail slot locations but it does not have S&W on the front rail slot.

Go figure.

My sport has the white S&W in one of the pic rail slots

My 'T' bought in July of this year sez "Smith & Wesson M&P" on one side of the quad-rail and "Military & Police" on the other side. Both in white scrolling. The S&W logo is there, also.

It's indexed too, but most markings are covered by LaRue's index clips!

I believe they are out sourcing a lot of the barrels to keep up with production. Not saying it is a bad thing, but have you tried to get parts lately?
