Hello,

Just a quick introduction. I recently picked up a model 659 at the LGS and apparently thats all that was needed to start on the 2nd gen. collecting journey. When I first became interested in shooting, 1911's and hi-powers were popular. I don't remember the model 39 and 59.

The more I research S&W 2nd gen. semi autos the more I am interested. Seems like there is so much knowledge here. Being so new, I'm not sure what I could offer but a compliment or friendly word always goes a long way.

I hear that! Actually 3rd gen. would be a more accurate time frame for when I started being interested in shooting. But for some reason 2nd gen. has caught my eye.
