Hello all,Got my first Smith/Wesson fire arm a few weeks ago the 15-22. Great new gun and very fun to shoot. Went threw some winchester bulk ammo about 300rds I dont think my rig liked the wins at all! Lots of ftls and ftes and a few duds!!Took the gun home and cleaned it good put some shooters choice grease on the slides and headed back out the next week, this time with federal ammo. Shot 200 flawless rounds with the federals, not one hick up:D I had a great time with it and really had fun, sighted in my new scope the center point 4-16 40mm gettin dime groups at 25 yards right off the bat!I am having alot of fun with this gun and noticed it holds alot diffrent then a standerd stock and should be held the same way every time with a scope on it. hand position seems more critical on these tactical style set ups than regular stock arms overall very happy with this gun,my first S&W :)

Welcome from Indy. You did the right thing by trying different brands of ammo to see what your firearm 'likes' the best. STOCK up on it.

Im glad it likes feds their easy to come by at Walmart,The feds seem realy cleaned and polished brass, seems to be of good quality. The wins not so much,One concern of the rifle was I noticed the holes in the forearm leave no way to clean or oil the barrell so I saw the end cap comes off and I could attach a large oil rag to a cleaning rod and swab it out that way without disasembly keeping it clean and rust free! I was wondering if theres sound advice on you tube on a trigger job on these ? I watched one that says to clip the one sring back and polish the trigger is this sound advice to be trusted??

My M&P shoots the Remington without issues, I ran 250+ through it and was surprised it didn't have any issues (based on others on this forum having issues with Remington). I did have 1 FTE, that's it for all of those rounds. Threw a training ball and was hitting it on the floor. This rifle rocks. Had so much fun I can't wait to go back up to the range and shoot it again.

I went out to the farm yesterday and blew through the first of what's going to be "lots" of rounds. Shot approx. 400 rounds of 8 year old Thunderbolts through the little black rifle. Not a problem. Awaiting a scope from OptPlanet to check accuracy although that didn't seem to be a problem as I made a few pop cans dance out to about 40 yards. This rifle is gonna be a hoot-to-shoot. One comment - had a Nylon 66 when I was a kid (I'm 68 now) it seemed to shoot faster than the 15-22 but that rifle wasn't very accurate. Hoping the 15-22 is more accurate. With the threaded barrel it should. Will advise.

Went out Sun. And shot some good groups, at first kinda all over but then after about 20rds It got serious,it was very windy so I moved up to 25 yards and shot, for a new gun im not used to I was getting dime size groups or better I think this will turn into a tac driver from the looks of it. A little about me Ive had guns all my life and used to do some serious reloadin 44mag, 9mm 25-06,223,6mm, 45,Sold all my RCBS stuff and now wished I hadnt !!:( So Im buyin some guns and gettin back into it and my wife enjoys it to! I also have a Sig Sauer Masquito on lay away for her to shoot Hopefully Ill get a good one!!!Heard they have some issues but so does every thing, bought it anyways cause I like the full sized frame and weight hope it does allright.
