Hello to all. Just got my hands on Michael Kennelly's beautiful Smith & Wesson Engraving book and noticed information about this forum. I grew up near Hartford, Ct where my dad as a young man worked at the Colts factory and later when I was grown up took me to see the wonderful colt collection at the factory many times. As a result I have owned many firearms over the years, & still enjoy shooting & collecting. One of the main reasons for looking through Michaels book was learning more about Russ Smith and his work. Several years ago I was lucky enough to purchase one his custom engraved 629's done for John Jovino in 1982. This has always been one of my favorites over many years of collecting. Just thought I would introduce myself, and when I become more familiar with the forum, I will post a few pictures. Looking forward to some great discussions in the future.
