New Model 36 Classic No Lock

I saw one this past Friday. It looked very nice, actually like new and unfired, but it was in the used gun case and priced well under MSRP. I was impressed by the bright bluing. Fit and function appeared to be good too. What's the word on the street by those that already have one? I also see MSRP at $849.00. Can anyone also report what folks are paying for them? I will also check the closed auctions on GB.

The new model 36-11 is here and in my company. I’m not going to waste any words so I’ll just get right to it.

Box
The box is the usual blue hard case with foam padding. This case does not and did not support the pistol adequately during transit but luckily this did not harm the pistol. I would like to see them use something more secure for J frames going forward.

Grips
The wooden Altamonte grips were snug and flush with only the slightest visible light through the flange of one of the panels. Not at all enough to warrant sanding. The grips were extremely tight on the pistol...

I bolted to the gun store this morning after reading your responses and checking GB's recent sales history. I found 4 sold, 1 at $699.99, 1 at $739.99, and 2 at $799.00. To my good fortune, the LGS was having a 10% off sale on all guns because the states background check system was down this weekend and today. I purchased the model 36-11 for $526.38 in total. Unfortunately, due to the states transfer restrictions I can't bring it home until after July 1st. Pictures and range report to follow.
