Please school me on the moon clips. I know what they are & how to use them so no quesion there. I'm asking if I use full power loads in this sixgun will I have trouble with brass life?? I assume not as much of the brass is supported by the cylinder walls near the base of the case because of the cut in the cylinder for the clips?? Is this something to be concerned with?? Thanks guys.

The only case blowout I've ever had was with 357 Maximum that was very much overpressure. They split halfway up the case side.

The cases I've seen sectioned lengthwise show a pretty thick area around the base of the rim.

One suggestion if using moon clips with a 627, find a maker of brass that works well with your clips and stick with it. There is a wide variance of compatibility in the real world, due to dimensional differences between manufacturers of both clips and brass.

Also, it's probably an Eightgun if a 627PC… :)
