Just found this forum since buying my 1st ever S&W firearm.
It's the SD9VE and so far I'm very happy with it.
But, if asking a question in my intro is allowed, why can I only load 15 rounds into both mags that came with it ? Try as I might, the final round just will not go in.
Thanks for letting me in and I hope to become one of those guys that can help others eventually.

Welcome to the forum from SW Ohio. Glad to have you aboard. I cannot answer your question directly but it may loosen up with use.

Welcome from Wisconsin!

Are you sure that's a 16 round magazine? 16 rounds can be loaded in a pistol with a 15 round mag if you jack the first round in the chamber & load a replacement for it in the mag. That's commonly referred to as "15+1". Be very careful because the gun will be loaded & ready to fire when that mag is dropped, loaded with the extra round & put back in the pistol.

If you have trouble loading mags especially when they're new & the springs are very stiff get yourself an Uplula loader. They work great & I still use mine for speed even though by now my mags load much easier by hand. Saves a lot of time at the range & much easier on the thumbs. Originally the mags from my M&P40C were so hard to load I skipped the last one. The Uplula fixed that problem. When you figure I have three stock 10 round mags & three 15 round mags from a full size M&P40 that's quite a lot of rounds to pre - load before I go to the range.

Howdy from South Carolina, and welcome to the forum.

I have to agree with Master Sergeant Glenn, about loading with the Maglula Uplula. It's a strange name for a device that makes loading magazines easier.

Welcome from Alabama. Try keeping the mags loaded with 15 rounds for a few weeks and if you can't get the 16th round in after that, try the uplula.
