Hi,
Will S&W honor the lifetime warranty for a "new old stock" pistol? What I mean is, if I buy a pistol that has never been owned/shot by a previous owner, but is not made any longer, will I enjoy the same warranty as a current production run gun?

Thanks!

If you bought it from a dealer and it was never registered, then the answer should be yes with one problem: if the parts are no longer available, then S&W may not be able to fix the problem. If the gun was bought from a private party, then they are the original owners, regardless of the gun's condition. In this case, S&W may, out of good will, repair the problem, again depending on part availability.

Thanks, Tom.
Yes, bought from dealer, NIB, never registered. It's a pre e-series 1911 (manufactured in 2014), so I wouldn't think parts would be an issue.

Thanks again!
