Just picked up a 15-22 rifle tonight. Looking forward to cleaning it and getting to the range soon. DVP serial and has the blue spring. Keeping fingers crossed that I don't have any issues. :)

Awesome, I just got mine today as well. For optics I am looking into either this 4x ACOG clones, with slave red dot sight attached (~$200) or Aimpoint/Eotech Clones-Magnifier Combo. Anybody have personal preferences? Since I am ordering online I don't really get to try it out first.

Really the only thing I see a problem with is if you use red dot/flip mounted magnifier combo that you would have magnifier in your peripheral vision. Don't know if that would make keeping both eyes open when shooting through 1x more difficult.

I have a Primary Arms M4 optic with a flip to side magnifier and I am totally pleased with the set up. I am right side dominant so I am using the optic through my right eye and the magnifier flips to the right side so it really isn't in my field of view. On a cool side note.....If you are using the optic only, or the BUIS (back up sights) you can just tip your head to the right a pinch and you can use the magnifier for a spotting scope! BONUS!

Also....Primary Arms is an awesome outfit to deal with. This has been mentioned here many times, but I had a real good experience with these guys. Helpful and accomodating. Check their site out.

I'm glad your looking forward to clean it, I dread having to clean mine. When I first got mine I cleaned it a lot, every time you would have a problem everybody would say you need to clean it. I sented mine back to S&W and had the upgrade done to mine now it shoots a long time before you have to clean it. I'm up to 4500 rds of blazer's through it without cleaning it. Still no malfunctions. Welcome and happy shooting:D:D

That's just unnecessary neglect. I always put my guns away clean and oiled, if they have gone for a few months in storage without firing I will clean and oil them again.

That sounds like unnecessary cleaning to me. Does it get dirty setting in your safe? I might go over the surface again but not the whole gun. I do clean my guns but I am trying to make a point, that blazer's are not as dirty has people thinks they are.

After being in the Army for 21 years, I have had to clean weapons that we put away in the arms room after being inspected during turn-in hundreds of times. You will surprised how much carbon and residue you can get off of a spotless weapon.

I can see why you clean so much if you was in the army 21 yrs, thanks for serving your and my country for so long.

Charlie 3 3 you heard the rest now here's the best Charlie 3 3 Been a long time since i said that, when you mentioned bravo company that came to mind. Nice video

Man, today was the first time I shot Blazers since I first bought my gun(November '10) and the rounds look soooo much cleaner then the Winchester Xpert HV bulk pack :D The brass was soo nice.

Blazers are a GREAT round for the 15-22. I've only had one FTF with them but that said I've also had a FTF with Stingers. CCI is quality ammo. FTF's are just indicative of rimfire I guess.

Keeping my fingers crossed I didn't get a lame box again. Avoided these for a whilee.

Range Report from 4/2:

Cleaned the new rifle with Hoppes #9 and lubed the rifle with CLP. Shot 550 rounds of Federal Bulk from Waly World at the range. Used only 1 factory 25 round magazine as I need to order more from whoever has them in stock at the moment. Out of 550 rounds I had only 5 FTE. I'm happy with the performance so far of my 15-22. I was using factory iron sights and they seem to be zeroed in, but I was only concerned with functionality for my first range trip with the new rifle. Serial DVP with blue spring.

4/3 Cleaned and lubed rifle after first session of 550 rounds. Shot 100 rounds of CCI Mini Mags HP 1235fps ran flawless.
Total round count - 650.
