Just wondering if anyone has tried the new ammo offering at Walmart yet, Perfecta Ammunition. At $16.97 for 50 rounds of 40SW the price isn't bad. The box information reads made in Italy, 170 grain FMJ, brass case, non-corrosive boxer primer, but it gives no other specs.
I believe it's made by Fiocchi, but on the back of the box it says it's distributed by Tulammo. The Walmart that I checked only had it in 40SW, but I've heard others say that it is available in 9MM and 45 auto also.
I bought a box to give it a try, although I haven't shot any of it yet. To be honest I didn't see the mention of Tulammo until I got it home. It seems that so many have had problems with the steel case Tulammo that if I had seen that, I might not have bought it. But since it specifically stated that it was brass case and non corrosive primer, hopefully it will be fine.
If anyone has tried it yet, chime in a let us know how it worked. With the ammo situation as it is, sometimes you have to buy what's available, not what you want.

This brand hasn't made it to my WM yet.
Never heard of it before this thread (maybe because I don't hang out in the Ammo Sub-Forum enough). :)

Made in Italy distributed by a Russian company? Weird.....

Picture # 2 at the bottom says "distributed by Tulammo USA I'd say it's Tulammo not Fiochi.

Doesn't look steel cased. Says brass case on box. I have shot both tulammo steel cased and Fiochi. Never a problem with either. Tulammo is dirtier than most ammo. Clean up takes a little longer.

Because of steel cased ammo, it is last resort for me. My thinking is steel case would cause more wear on action, feed ramp etc.

I would try that for range use as for the brass case and lower price. Just my $.02

Looks the same as the Tula BrassMax. Tula ammo but its brass instead of steel.

Inspect them real good before u load them up. Tula is known to screw things up a time or two in one box.

The reason I'm thinking that it is made by Fiocchi is that Fiocchi does make a Perfecta line of ammo (notice the similar logo with the crosshairs in the letter "C" of the word Perfecta). The Fiocchi website really doesn't mention it, and neither does the Tulammo website.
Any definite information has been hard to come by, but it appears to be manufactured by Fiocchi for Tulammo.

Haven't seen this yet up North. However i've fired about 100 rounds of TULAMMO thru my Shield 40, without any problems...

Ive never shot bad factory ammo. Brass, steel case, nothing.

My least favorite is winchester. I dont feel it shoots all that Straight. But it shoots. So does tula. And rem.

All the factory FMJ isnt that accurate, but it shoots fine. Buy the cheapest stuff you can!

Please report back on the relative case wall thickness if possible for us reloaders who want to know these things. Thank you

I bought some of the 45 of this brand but I can't get to the range through the chest-high snow. Couldn't pass up the price.

I have shot the 9m and 380 with no problems other than a little dirty compared to some others.

I shoot it all the time in my 9mm. I have had no problems.

I had issues with the 40 cal. Lots of failures to feed. I haven't had issues with other ammo the gun has been flawless with federal winchester and remington.
