New person from New Jersey

Hi. I live in New Jersey and I don't currently have a gun because I'm still waiting for my firearm permit to come through... and waiting... and waiting...
That's the system in New Jersey.
I briefly owned a Model 10 revolver but my girlfriend got upset about that so I ended up selling it. But I'm going to by a new gun when the permit comes through.
I have a fascination with S&W .38 caliber revolvers, maybe from watching too much Adam-12 while growing up.

A officer left a message for me a couple of days ago and said I could pick them up on Saturday morning. Neither of the firearm officers showed up. I will try again on Monday. This is after a four month wait. When I retire, I'm going to move back to the United States.

Wait in New York State is from 5-11 months depending on the county you apply in. The state asks the counties to TRY to issue or decline within 5 months, but that hardly ever happens.

+1 for a K Frame Smith. Model 19 or 55 or 686 and shoot 38 Special or .357 Magnum if you want.
