New rifle -NO Ammo

I just ordered a Ruger Scout rifle on Buds. Went to Midway USA website to order some ammo. They have no 308 at all. I can understand no 223 but 308? Guess I will have to start hitting local shops. FYI If you are on Buds list to get a E Mail when something you are looking for comes in forget it. I was on the list for a Scout Rifle and a Shield only found them by checking Buds every day.

This whole gun buying frenzy is WAY out of control.I hope they don't ban assualt weapons and all these idiots get stuck with $2,000 Bushmaster AR-15's and $1/ea 223 ammo.

Well the Scout rifle was the same price it has always been. With it and my AR that I have had for four years I am set if I can find some 308

This is why im not buying anything new now. I'll buy only if i already have the ammo and if it comes with mags as well. Or if it's some obscure caliber or none popular caliber.

There is lots of .308 in the local stores and Cabelas here. Even grabbed 280 rounds of 223 recently.

I think you can still find pellets. .177 maybe not.

I can't find range fodder .308 but I can buy Winchester Supreme and other such high dollar stuff. If it's FMJ then it's ghost on the shelves.
