I have not heard of this limited edition and really like the classic looks. Except for the lock!

Yes, that's the one. The Model 520 was basically a fixed sight M28.

More precisely, I think you will find it was an updated Heavy Duty (M20) in .357.

I think they are over runs from the Davidsons special order. There’s a few on the big site. Asking way too much for my interest.

I have both an HD and a 520. Kind of interested. Price is a bit high but not totally out of line for today’s market.

I like it better as a "model 20" than trimmed up as a Texas Ranger commemorative. If I didn't have HDs I might buy one. Hope they're successful though and that leads S&W to build a few more N frame revolvers.

While I won't be buying one, at least it is an N frame revolver without a full underlug and a rail.

I like it but being an old fogey I can’t get past the lock on classic style guns. I’ve got several Smith’s with the lock, 3 X frames and a few others. But none are of the classic style. I know most new gun buyers either like it or don’t care one way or the other.

It sure looks purty, except for the you know what. Too bad I'm not in the market.
