Yep. Try loading 15 rounds and leaving it loaded for about a week. Take out the rounds, then reload with 16. Should work, as I have had to do it before with Glock magazines.

You might also want to tap the bottom a couple times when loading it as this sometimes tends to "seat" the rounds properly staggered as they should be. One or both should do the trick.

Thanks

It worked great tapping it made them seat just like you said thanks alot

mine were impossible to fully load initially, but playing with them for several days cured it....as noted above, pretty common on hi-caps....until spring takes a bit of a set, it is also possible the excessive upward force may even prevent feeding with some ammo as the nose slams into the base of the ramp and can't tilt up to continue forward and upward...

same problem. i typically do 15 otherwise i really have to slam the mag in there to get it to catch.
i occasionally practice with 16 but most times 15 will do for me

I also found it pretty difficult to get the magazine catch to lock into place when loaded with 16, with 15 easy as pie.

Try loading with the slide open.
When you load on a closed slide, you have to compress another 1/2 cartridge to seat the mag.
If the magazine does not lock properly, it can fall out on the first shot, which is highly amusing to everyone but the shooter.

I have several Sigma/SD magazines, can get 16 in about half of them fairly easily, but it's a struggle with the others despit tapping, pleading, or whatever. 15 works for me in all of them.

Try using an UpLuLu to load your pistol magazines. Several of my Sigma and SD mag tend to be hard to load even with the Uplulu, but I am able to get all 16 rounds loaded with a little effort.

When i bought my Sigma, and used both mags heavily, about a week later i was able to load 16rds without even meaning to.....my two new mags were unable to take 16, they were left with 15rds in them, and then nightly the rounds were stripped and tried with 16rds....one mag was fired for 10rds on day 6 to see if them slamming during hi-speed feed helped things, but still unable to get a full 16 on board....on day 7, like clockwork, both mags could take a full 16rds....the one that had been fired took the last round somewhat easier, but that was it....loader or not, they are STIFF at first, enough so that so much pressure is being applied that a slip would damage the feed lips, and enough pressure to cause worries of breaking something, at least with my four mags....very suprised and pleased at the consistancy, which is striking...normally you would expect some sort of variation...not with THESE mags....and afterwards, they have been quite easy to fully load, about the same effort as the initial 14 or 15 took...this gun now has over 1000rds in a month and a half....

the only gun i could say i own or have owned which required a mag loader would be my STEN....a few .22s have benefitted far more from a loader than my Sigma after a week or two...
