Today I got in a sear housing block from the new M&P metal version with the newest sear geometry marked with the letter I .You see the difference in the pic below.
I decided to polish up the new sear and put it in the old block because everything else in the old block, especially the rails, is all broken in. Earlier this year I put the new flat trigger in this same 2.0 pistol, so now it's basically an older 2.0 with the complete trigger from the new metal variant.
Haven't shot it yet, but the new sear made the trigger break... "different." Not even really too much lighter. Just different.
Can't say yet whether I'd actually call it better, but it's not worse to dry fire and it is different.
Anyway, I thought some M&P folks might find this interesting so I'm posting it on a few forums.
