I have a Shield 2.0 with the gray cerakote frame w. safety and it carries and shoots well. I have a chance to trade it in on one of the new Shield Plus models for $200. Question - is the Plus model worth the my trade + $200? My 2.0 has less than a desirable trigger however it gets the job done. I've heard the Plus models flat trigger is much better than mine and the added capacity is a bonus.

Thoughts and opinions appreciated!

Thanks much!

I suspect only you can answer that question.
I have both and find I shoot them both about the same. The trigger on the 2.0 smoothed out nicely after 4-5 hundred rounds down range. The trigger on the Plus was great out of the box. No hiccups from either of them.
However, I give the Plus a slight edge over the 2.0 due to the grip being a wee bit wider and the smoother trigger and increased capacity. But worth giving my 2.0 and $200. I don't think I would do that.

I'd make that trade in half a second!

EDIT: Ill add, hot new gun, more rounds, fits old holster, inherent reliability. I paid $480, so you're getting $280 for your trade. They sold new for that at one point. And "old" Shields are a hard sell. If people don't beleive they are a hard sell, PM me, and buy my 2.0! It's like new and that S+ isn't coming out of my holster any time soon!

Trade it.

For many, a deciding factor might be:
How many Extra mags do you usually like to have around?

Right now, Shield Plus mags are still virtually nonexistent.
If you need more than just the 1 flush and 1 extended mag, hold off for a while, until spare mags are readily available. ;)
$200 plus trade is not that great of a deal.

For me it came down to the original Shield was too narrow for my hand. The second I handled the Plus I knew I wanted one. Found a pre-owned unfired at a store on consignment, brought it home for under $400.

The used market for modern stuff in my area has become very soft. I would do that trade/cash difference if the fit is that different for you. The lack of spare mags right now isn't a big deal. If 23 rounds won't get me out of whatever bad situation I might face I was in the wrong place at the wrong time (this of course doesn't take in to account a malfunctioning magazine).

I added the Trijicon HD sights with yellow ring on the front for faster sight pick up (photo prior to sight change).
