Not sure I understand your question, when ordering J frame grips, you can have standard size/shape or extended, checkered or smooth, round butt or square butt, etc., with respect to the high horns, there are two styles, the Bodyguard and the Centennial, the shapes are different between those two.
When your time comes up, you just discuss what you want with Craig and he goes from there.

They are for the 640 centennial, you just need to put your make and model of gun down. There is a waiting list if your not on the list you need to get on it then when you're name comes up Mr Spegal will contact you. Hope this answers your questions.

I think michpatriot is asking about type of wood and the checkering. All three pair appear to be of different types of wood. That is Craigs standard checking pattern on all three pair. Handsome grips!

Been using his grips since the mid-80s! For S&W J-N frames, Boot Grips and Extended Boot Grips, round and sq. Butts,Smooth and Checkered and a set for my Browning HP. Must have a 15-20 sets!

Need to get back on the list..................

I got the call last October but I forgot to write down when I got on the list but I think it was about two years wait time. The wood left to right was Rosewood Ebony and cocobolo. I'm extremely pleased with all of them, they all feel good also.

Those grips really do look good. I would really like to get a set, but I'm to impatient to wait that long. I am going give a set of Uncle Mike's grips a try this weekend. I'm really am hoping to like them.

Nice grips, all three ......
Craigs boot grips (all variants) are the best... that's an unbias'd opinion... :)

SmithNut, which of his grips are the most popular or ones shooters are always looking for? Kinda like, if I remember correctly, everybody always seems to want Ahrends Retro Combat N frame Square Butt grips.

The woods and checking look great. After waiting 2 or more years, I hope he leaves a message to call him back or calls back himself, and just doesn't go to the next name on the list!!
