Note: Since Thompson Center is now owned and made by S&W, I'am assuming discussion of them is acceptable on this forum. If not I apologize.....
I recently picked up a new T/C Venture chambered in .308 Win.
With the cold, wet, and snowy weather here I've only had two short range sessions with it. I originally put an old Alpen Kodiak 3 to 9 X 40mm scope on it, after shooting in on my first trip to the range, I realized the rifle deserved better.
I then picked up a Nikon Monarch 4 to 16 X 42mm BDC scope, and on my second trip out I dialed that scope in. My next range visit will be to test various reloads.
With only two sessions shooting from the bench, I'am very pleased with the rifle, once dialed in with the Nikon scope I was able to shoot some pretty tight 3 and 5 round groups at 100 yards.....
Not seeing any posts on any of the T/C line of long guns, I was curious if anyone else is hunting with one......?
