New to forum- located in Arizona. Howdy!

Thought I would share my revolver with you.

This is something I was able to pick up from a garage sale (yes in Arizona you can sell a gun at your local garage sale!) for $80 !

Given that it has a small logo on the left, no 'Made in USA' roll marks and some other things, I think it is a 1921 MP 1905. (if anyone can verify this it would be appreciated!)

It came with the attached MOP grips, one of which has been repaired, but they are still quite striking to look at. Do you think they may be original S&W grips or aftermarket?

Thanks for looking!

Welcome! Nice revolver.

I never find stuff like that at our yard sales. If there is a firearm for sale at all, it will usually be a well rusted generic brand single barrel 12 gauge offered at a Winchester model 12 price!

Neat old gun. The grips are definitely Factory. I can't read the serial number, so no date.

Thanks for the info. I thought I read that '22 and up had "Made in USA' on them. Is that info incorrect?

Nice buy. The sun was shining on you that day alright. I like it. Very nice. Very unmessed with.

Thanks again guys, happy to join you!

I only have 3 SW's currently - all my others are Colts - but I really like my other two as well....

one is an all original 1942 Victory Model 10 with a somewhat rare New Zeland markings, and my 1983 Distinguished 357 Magnum model 681. Both are wonderful firearms and a joy to shoot!

It was ordered in May, 1922.
Where is the repair on the grip and how was it done?

One of the grips has been repaired with a white-ish epoxy where a chip was and where the medalion cracked. Unfortunate, but at least they appear to be original, even though the value is gone.....
