I am looking for my first IWB holster for M&P compact, I am looking for something that can be adjusted so that I can find the most comfortable fit without buying having to buy a bunch of different holsters. I am willing to spend the money to get a quality holster and am considering the following makers.

Crossbreed, King Tuk and Minotaur.

What are your thoughts on adjust-ability, build quality, etc.
Are there any others that I should consider?

Thanks!

Milt Sparks VM-2 & Kramer #3....not cheap but a fabulous solution. Also take a look at the product offered by fellow forum member Ray lobogunleather.com

In the hybrid type holster the Galco King Tuk is a great choice for some...I am not a hybrid sort of guy however.

Be sure to use a sturdy belt with whatever holster you select. If you can fold it in half vertically it is NOT sturdy enough.

Try Comp-tac. I have all the high end horse hide holsters but wear Comp-tac more often than not. They will build your holster in 3 days and ship it fast. You will save $$$ and if you don't like the holster, return it with in 30 days. Bill

Inside the waistband holsters are such a personal thing it's hard to just say Brand X is the BEST. The design of the holster may not be right for your body shape but be perfect for 9 out of 10 others. Milt Sparks is the most famous with inside WB design. Dont forget to look at Bianchi...When I was looking for a IWB for my Taurus model 455 ( 5 shot snubnose in 45 ACP ) I got a Bianchi #3S. It has a neat adjustment feature built in so you can put it in any position you want, canted forward , backward or straight up . It does it with a ratchet mechanisim built between the holster body and belt loop. Check out thier web site . I really like mine. Next I would like to get one of thier belt holsters. Bianchi has allways made quailty holsters.........gary

I have a M&P 9c and a Theis holster. Very comfortable, good customer service, good value. It is my favorite.

I have a crossbreed suptertuck holster, wear it everyday and everywhere legal. All day if not at work. And I carry a full sized 9mm.

The height and angle (somewhat) can be adjusted and you can put it anywhere on your waistline. You can even tuck in your shirt with it if needed.

I have a Theis for my 4003 and if I can be comfortable with that big chunk of a gun, an M&Pc should be a breeze. :)

I've carried almost exclusively IWB for a long time now. Gone though several different holsters.

The wider holsters work best for me such as the Versa Max. But there are other holster makers who's products are equally as good for a lot less money. I like them because they distribute the weight over a greater area.

I currently am using a King Tuk and it's ok. Not great but adequate. And all leather is definitely more comfortable.

You will ultimately have to find out for yourself because we're all different.

I just started to conceal carry a couple of weeks ago and the crossbreed supertuck is amazing. It fits my fs 9mm and my 40c, and when i wear it all day it feels like its not even there!!

I also use Comp-tac for IWB carry, good holster for the money and quick service. As others have said get a good belt that will support the weight of your firearm and the rest will fall into place. A holster is a personal item, what works for me won't necessarily work for you. This is a great place for advice though.

I carry a KelTec PF-9 in a Crossbreed Mini-Tuck. I can HIGHLY recommend the Crossbreed line. The only problem with them is you can actually forget you're carrying

I have the same question as the original poster...I just bought a shield and someone else pointed out sitting in a computer chair and driving....What would be a good holster for that? I have to tuck my shirt in.

Thanks

I wear my cross breed slightly behind my right hip. about 5 oclock. I can sit in a car or lounge in my computer chair (like I am right now) and forget I have a full sized 9mm on me. It takes some time to get used to but its just like wearing a new pair of underwear. First day nothing feels like its in the right spot... but after a little while it becomes part of you :p
