I recently picked up this NIB Model 13-3 3" Nickel revolver. It has the 13-2 frame overstamped with the 3. It also has a recessed cylinder. I have the original grips but I put on a set of these beautiful Curt Harlow RB Target grips in his Roper pattern. I also included my 13-2 with Culina combat grips.

Believe it or not, I like stainless better for carry, but nickel looks better. Hard to beat Roper grips, whether they were made by Harlow or Gagne, if they fit your hand.

I have just within the last couple of years discovered the magic of 3" K frame. It was explained to me logically by my guru Mas Ayoob, but it was only recently that I actually held one in my hands. Works even in SB (not usually true for my slightly small hands) with the right grips.

Just wanted to explain my "like."

Recessed chamber cylinder, but no barrel pin and a "3" stamped over the "-2". This would be a transitional piece, S&W was using up their remaining supply of recessed chambers and frames that had already been stamped with a model number. There seem to be a good number of these out there.

Absolutely stunning pair you have there. Makes my pair of 3" 65s and my 13-2 nickel 4"er look,........... well I'm not even going to show them now........

Congratulations! very nice!

That nickel piece looks really nice. Whoever did the polishing on it prior to plating did a fine job.
