New to me M&P .22 magnum sight question.

Just got one today and am wanting to see if anyone has found a set of night sights that will fit the pistol. Mine has the optic mount [not sure if all of them do]. I really dislike the plain black rear sight so hoping someone can shed some light

I have a Shield Plus also and have had 3 other M&Ps in the past. Hoping also they decide to make the new folder in .22 magnum as well!

Nice! I say forget about the irons and put a Holosun 407K or 507K on it. Just remember that you will need to pick up a couple of #6-32X1/2 screws to mount it, as none of the screws that come with the 407K or 507K will fit the M&P 22 Magnum (or the M&P 5.7).

I haven't seen any after market sights yet not sure they will do tritium but fiber maybe an option ? That red dot is gonna weigh that slide down so your gonna have to shoot some pretty potent ammo I would think to overcome that ?

After watching Plinkster, Honest Outlaw, and Sootch with their positive reviews, I sold off my PMR30 and bought the new S&W. I put a Holosun HS507K on mine.

I wouldn’t think S&W would make it optics ready if it would not work with them. Plinkster doesnt seem to be having any problems with a red dot on his.

Yes true but some guns get finicky when you put the weight of a red dot on them. And I'm not sure i'd agree with smiths claim or whoever claims it's the best, so far my WMP and my RIA are better than both my smith and the PMR !

Nice any issues with ammo in yours with the red dot ? I just put a set of pachmayr finger groove slip on's it really improved the feel of the gun for me at least i think I paid 13 bucks for them.

I am not a fan of the red dots on pistols. Too used to irons. It has a fiber optic front sight. Love the TFO Truglo Pros, guess I will have to wait until they make them for this one.

Range report....LOVE this pistol! Took it out back on my neighbor's 18 acres and ran two mags [60 rds] flawlessly through it. It is a very accurate pistol out of the box with virtually zero recoil.

I shot all 60 using CCI Maxi Mag 40 grain Varmint JHP and the result was all 60 rounds in a 6" circle even mag dumping. The first few rounds of each mag hit inside the first circle and dead center without taking too much time to aim. The mag dumping was firing as rapidly as possible of course and none of them landed outside the little target at about 20'.

Highly recommend!

RMSc. The mounting screw holes are tapped 6-32, so if your optic does not come with that size screw (Holosun 407K and 507K do not), you will need to buy some 6-32X1/2 flat head cap screws.
