I just picked up my nice shooter quality M19-3 2.5" snubby from my local shop. It came with nasty Pachmayrs which were quickly replaced with a set of S&W combats I got from fellow forum member Peak53 (thanks Ed!). It came with the box, paperwork and tool and I got it for $500. It will be a nice match to my 19-5 2.5" and looking to make it my carry gun.

Today seems to be a good day for M19-3 2.5" inchers. I picked up mine today after Marylands 8 day waiting period. This is one nice gun that will continue to be a safe queen.
Yours looks to me to be much nicer than a 'shooter'.

I think I am gonna put these on it
Product: K/L Round Dymondwood Checkered Service
The combats are nice but I prefer the magnas.
FYI, S&W's current dymondwood magnas are cut much thinner than the old school walnut magnas; they don't fill my average hands well at all.

And to perhaps pick nits, the dymondwood feels a little cheap compared to walnut.

You may want to consider picking up some well-preserved, used traditional magnas.

Thanks for the heads up. Never seen or felt the newer grips. I would like a used set, but I am just not one to spend big bucks on older used grips.

I'm with you on not spending big bucks for grips. Usually you can find quality magnas at good prices. Check eBay, Gunbroker, and gun shows and luck will probably be with you.
