Gents - I've been on the look out for a model 30 snubby for a good while and lately, a 19 round butt snubby. When nice blued revolvers present themselves at the wrong time, you still have to check them out - am I wrong? The older gentleman who has been taking care of my mother in law for several years, is/was a bit of a bird hunter and mostly talked of his shotguns. He had mentioned a 22 mag revolver several times in the past, but had never had it with him. Fast forward to yesterday, mother in law texts several pics of it to my wife's phone, as she doesn't have my number (by my design!) Appears to be a very minty, pinned 6" 48 with a TH/TT. Phone call reveals he's owned it for 35-40 yrs, said he's fired maybe a box thru it, no idea if he still has the box or not. We agree on a price and I can pick it up on Tuesday. I really didn't/ don't need it, as I already have it's twin here for almost 20 years with probably north of 1K rds thru it. Sometimes a nice one is tough to pass up, especially when it the price is right, even if it delays the ones on the "want" list. I plan to post up pics once it arrives - Thanks, Bill in MA

It's here!

As promised, but apologize for my poor picture skills and ability to put it into the post - new to me, 48-4 on the top, old reliable 48-2 on the bottom. Couldn't be happier, although very similar, a bit different. Until today, I had not seen a white out line rear sight without a red ramp front sight. The wide trigger and hammer are very nice. The grips are a perfect match in color and grain on both sides - that said that style, just does not fit my hand well. The 48-2 grips are perfect for me and those were replacements for the original Magnas that came with it. Thanks, Bill Pair of 48s.jpg

I wiped it down quick before putting it into the safe, cylinder and bore look good, no surprises. Realistically, it probably wont get any solid side by side range time until the Spring, but I'm happy to give it a new home. You'd never see anything like this at a LGS. With kids, life and work far more priority for time, the firearm stuff has fallen by the way side the past few years. It seems more like evolution recently, something eventually gets sold or traded and occasionally something replaces it. This one just popped up and it's a happy addition! Thanks, Bill
